Berlin – a bit closer to home and less self-consciously fashionable than NYC, Berlin is a great choice for a city break. Not to be missed is the moving, and visually stunning, Jewish Museum designed by Daniel Libeskind – the architect who has won the commission for the new building at New York’s Ground Zero. History buffs should take a trip to the Stasi Museum located in a non-descript area of the former East Berlin. An eerie atmosphere remains around the prison where East Germany’s State Security Service interrogated their prisoners. Helen Furnivall, Head Office
